MARIA INES BOGADO
Since becoming the World Champions of Tango de Salon 2010 at the Tango BA Mundial de Baile and also winning the the Vals category in 2010 at the Metropolitan Championship, Maria Ines Bogado has been one of the most respected maestra in the World Tango scene.
María Inés Bogado started dancing when she was 12 years old. She grew up with folklore and received her degree in Folklore Argentino at the Centro Polivalente de Arte de Ezeiza. In 1994 she discovered tango and began studying with Cristina Pugni and Diego Gauna. In 1997 she continued her studies with Carlos Perez and Rosa Forte at the Club Sunderland. During this period she met Sebastián Jiménez with whom she entered into a professional tango partnership.
In 2010 they won the title of Metropolitan Champions of Vals and World Champions in Tango Salón. After winning the titles they went on an intensive tour around the world, teaching and performing at the most prestigeous tango festivals on all continents. Among other festivals, they participated in: the International Festival of Tango Salón in Łódź, Poland, Singapore International Tango Festival, Belgrade Tango Encuentro in Serbia, Tango Festival Porto in Portugal, and Planetango in Moscow, Russia.
María Inés and Sebastián decided to pursue new professional endeavors in 2016 and she started to teach and perform with Jorge Lopéz, with whom she already danced on the streets of Buenos Aires at the beginning of her career. In 2018 she started to work with Roberto Zuccarino. She continues to travel all over the world, teaching solo and with her partners at festivals, performances, giving private classes, and seminars.
JORGE LOPEZ
Jorge Lopez has began taking classes with Mario Morales at an early age in the municipality of Monte Grande, entering A.C.E.T.A. as a regular student in which can be formed with teachers: Javier Rodriguez; Geraldine Rojas; "The turco'' Joseph; Portalea; Carlos and Rosa Perez; Jesus Velasquez, Christian Gomez Marquez and Virginia; Daniel Nacucchio and Cristina Sosa and others. This background in learning from different maestros has allowed him to gain knowledge of different styles and vision of the tango.
In 2009, at the Metropolitan Tournament Buenos Aires he won the 5th place in the category Tango de Salon and 4th place in the category of Milonga at which point he was invited to perform at some of the most prestigious milongas of Buenos Aires some of which include; El Beso, Salon Canning, La Baldosa, Tango Cool, Loca Milonga, The Emiliana El Mmoran,"Maldita Milonga and Bendita Milonga.
He has also been invited to tech in many milongas and associations in Buenos Aires and around the World that include Bien Porteno, El Beso, La Viruta, Tango Effect (Tokyo Japan), Embracing tango, Tango Heart (Sweden) School and the School of Tango Buenos Aires. He was invited to several events including "World March for Peace" in the prestigious Cultural Center South and Great National Milonga (organized by the teachers' association dancers and choreographers of Argentine tango A.M.B.C.T.A.).
From July 2011 to February 2012 he toured in Japan to teaching and to dance in tango shows with Chizuko Kuwamoto (World Champion 2010 tango escenario) in major events such as the Sheraton Hotel and Toho, also enters an important Japanese musical comedy Balada para un Loco also touring several cities such as Tokyo, Osaka and Kanazawa with the orchestra of Riota Komatsu
Since September 2013 Jorge Lopez has been touring in Europe teaching classes and participating in many festivals such as the Syros Tango Festival, Nora's Tango Weekend, Caserta Tango Meeting, Festival de Tango Porto (12th Edition), Bari Tango Congress. mpany Corporacion Tango with directors Daniel Juarez and Alejandra Armendi
